What are
projects? |
A project is an area
of interest that is lead by Junior and Teen Leaders
and is overseen by adult leaders certified and
fingerprinted by the UC Davis program. Current
projects are offered yearly with a promise from an
adult leader and a teen or junior leader.
Current projects vary from year to year and from
club to club. The more families that have
interest...the more offered. Remember we are
only able to do this because of you!

How do I
Join a Project? |
|
Come to our first two
Community Club Meetings. They are held the
second Thursday of the month at Proctor Elementary
School. See our home page for all
announcements. You will have the chance to
meet the Teen and Junior Leaders for each group at
these meetings. All of the different projects
will have different times to meet during the month
to try to accommodate the adult leader, teen leader,
junior leader and members and the place of
availability.
Any one can join a
project. Some projects will let Primary
members (5 years old) join in. Primary members
are awarded participatory ribbons at the Fair,
instead of the ribbons from Danish system,
Some projects require an age of 9 or older.
Please see the project list for complete age
requirements.
The project list
will be updated during September and November as we
see where interest lies and the volunteers that will
MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
COME TO OUR
MEETINGS!
CALL OUR LEADERS!!!
|
|
How do I
start a project? |
|
Be a volunteer leader
that wants to make a difference with our youth and
our community.
Hold meetings for the
project in accordance with the UCDavis guidelines.
A volunteer leader
must be fingerprinted.
All leaders must
attend a painless Leader Training Workshop.
And most of all,
all volunteers must have a love of interest to
guide, teach and direct all youth the life skills,
community service, citizenship and the leadership to
further their education and their lives.
