Yearly enrollment fees are $26.00 per member plus $12.00 per adult. Members may enroll in as many projects as they choose without additional cost (except for supplies for some projects). Members may enroll and participate in an animal project without owning an animal. Our regular enrollment is held in August and September. The program year runs July through June with many other activities (such as camp and the county fair) held in the summer months.
Members are expected to attend all general club meetings, all meetings of their projects, and to notify the leader if they are unable to attend.
There are a number of county, sectional, state, and national events and competitions in which youth members may participate. Popular Monterey County events include the county fair, Salinas Rodeo, county council, and summer camp. Some events require a uniform consisting of white pants and white shirt with 4-H hat and 4-H tie.
