    General Project Information:

• This project is open to all ages of 4-H members.
• Project group has a capacity for 10 members and we currently have 10 members.
• Our current 4-H project year runs from September 2008-June 2009.
• This project is a 4-H group that is registered with the national JMG program.
• The project uses the Junior Master Gardener Level One curriculum and is being run as a Golden Ray Project.
• This is our 5th year as a national JMG registered group.
• We are currently 'learning by doing' activities in chapter 5 of the JMG Guide. - Landscape Horticulture.
• Our JMG registered name is The Ranger Arrangers Landscape Associates!

Insects and Diseases (Chapter 4)
The Good, The Bad and The Bugly create Beatrice, a queen bee for
Sacramento's County Fair Scarecrow category.  Beatrice recieved a
1st Place Ribbon and the County Fair Manager's Award.

Ecology and Environmental Horticulture (Chapter 3)
The Eco-Warriors win a 1st Place Ribbon & $200 at the Sacramento County Fair
for their Informational Poster and Wheelbarrow Garden Entry.

Soils and Water (Chapter 2)
The Dirty Dozen enjoys a Farm Tour at Waldorf School to learn about composting
from Farmer Steve.

Plant Growth and Development (Chapter 1)
 The Royal Gardeners enjoyed many activities this year.  Below they are extracting the aloe
 out of aloe vera plants to make a special aloe vera lotion.
