All 4-H members are encouraged to learn the art of public speaking. Public speaking helps teach members how to organize a speach or presentation with props and how to present the information and themselves to their best abililty. The catagories in which members may participate are:

• Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks (These are used to earn credit for star ranks.)
• Scientific Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks
• Educational Display
• Prepared Speech
• Impromptu Speech
• Interpretive Reading
• Share the Fun
• Cultural Arts
• Audio-Visual Presentations
• Problem Solving Presentations

Members learn something new in each catagory and even the shyest of members grow in their confidence and become more outspoken with each presentation. Their leadership skills improve as well.
