Welcome back to the 2004/2005 4-H year!

Greetings and welcome to the Banta 4-H Newsletter.  The purpose of this newsletter is to bring important information to the members, leaders, officers, and parents supporting this club.  Hopefully this newsletter will help everyone who has been tasked with writing down important dates and can’t hear at the meetings.

The return to the 2004/2005 4-H year brings with it a return to dust off our brains and remember such items as the 4-H Motto, the 4-H Pledge, proper uniform etiquette, and record books, etc.  This newsletter will address a different topic each month.  In this issue the 4-H Motto will be reviewed.  Look for the 4-H Pledge in the November issue.

The 4-H Motto:

“To make the best better.”

Announcements

National 4-H Week is October 3rd thru 9th!

Leaders' Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Banta School.  All leaders are invited to attend these planning meetings.   This time is also open to other adults wanting to share their ideas and participate in the general planning process.

On November 1st, at the next Community meeting we will have Achievement Night and a Canned Food Drive for a Thanksgiving basket.

Pick up your blank forms for this year's 4-H book at the October Community Meeting.  Please bring your book and/or notepad each meeting, as you will be able to receive pointers and ask questions as we go.

Computer Project Looking For Surfers!
Do you like the Internet?  Have you always wondered how all that information gets out there for us to use?  Students use the Internet at school, parents use it at work, and some of us even use it to receive the 4-H tips and do project research.  Here is your chance to be a part of the group that will design the first ever Banta 4-H Club Website.  No experience is necessary.  For more information or to sign up, please contact Darrel Bucher at 830-6347.  Call soon, because there are only nine openings left.
