Level Testing is a series of exams designed to encourage continued learning about a specific project. After passing each level, members are presented with a level pin for their 4-H hat.
San Luis Obispo County 4-H currently offers Level Testing for: Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goats, Horses, Poultry, Rabbits, and Dogs. For most species, testing is held during 4-H Field Day at the Paso Robles Event Center each June. Call the 4-H office at 781-5943 or email dharris@co.slo.ca.us for testing dates.

Horse Level Testing Note: The SLO County 4-H Horse Level Testing Program is taken from the Certified
Horsemanship Association's (CHA) Certified Horsemanship Manual, Levels 1 through
4. The manual can be purchased directly from the CHA for $45, or $13 per level. It is not mandatory to buy the book to take the test, but it will make it
