Watershed Explorations

			1. Say: "Observe your watersheds over the next few minutes without touching the model with your hands." Start your drip systems flowing at a rate of 3-4 drops per second. Pay particular attention to the following: * Erosion (where soil is washing off the banks) * Deposition (where soil is being deposited) * Changes in the creek channels and banks You may use the spray bottles to spray water over the watershed and observe the results. 2. Allow three to five minutes for experimentation. 3. Say: "Shut off your Drip Emitter and discuss your observations."

	These activities have been designed to be used by teens working with elementary aged children, but can be used by anyone working with kids. The directions are easy to follow.
