Description

Gun safety, maintenance, transportation, and storage.  Through class lecture and supervised hands-on activity.
 

  • Shooting sports skills, with special focus on .22 caliber rifle and air rifle.
  • Basic Rifle Shooting class
  • Unstructured supervised shooting practice sessions, with coaching available.
  • Qualification shooting, in a supervised non-competitive environment, with standardized shooting programs and recognition awards (e.g., pins and certificates).
  • Santa Clara County Shooting Sports Medalist Program (under development).
  • Shooting Tournaments
  • 4-H California Shooting Sports Match (targets shot at San José Municipal Firing Range)
  • Santa Clara County Fair Youth Rifle Shooting Competition (targets shot at San José Municipal Firing Range)
  • Local, northern, and central California smallbore rifle and air rifle tournaments (e.g., Modesto, Sacramento, Lincoln, Yuba City)
  • National 4-H Smallbore Rifle 3-Position Postal Match (targets shot at San José Municipal Firing Range)
