treasurer report
MSC to pay the bill for head gear for the delegates to SLC.
Discussion on the reimbursements for costs of the fees for the SLC/YLS/CTC. County All Stars fees to SLC are paid for.
MSC to pay for All Stars fees, and then prorate the remaining amount budgeted to be distributed to the first-time attendees to SLC. Nothing will be reimbursed for YLS and CTC.
Another issue - Books don't balance in the transition time from Ms. Haggerty to Ms. Coxhead. Hans is trying to reconcile, and has found that there were attendees that went to conferences but might not have paid.
Budget discussions:
1) lower revenue this year and lower starting balance.
2) Leonard account money seems to be tied up somewhere in the UC trusts.
3) specific items:
a) facilities account: some clubs are having trouble finding places to hold their meetings. Schools are asking to be paid for each meeting. So, keep the facilities budget amount just in case we get charged for our facilities uses.
b) Sectional Council budget is up to 175.
Amended budget MSC to adopt.
MSC to give Westhope church $200 for our use of their facility over this past year.
president's report
Asilomar -> space available still. Need to get the word out to the county leaders to come. First year attendees can apply to get scholarship for 50% of fees.
Council Meetings -> discussions of changes to the running of the meetings. Change to meeting time proposed. 7 pm or 7:15 pm as new start time. Limit to times used for presentations to 3 minutes. End time no later than 9 pm.
Exec Brd positions -> two new openings: looking for people to fill those positions.
Fair meeting -> 8 people showed up for the meeting. It was concluded that a petting zoo as the best thing that 4-H could do for Fair. Also discussed was the Feature Booth competition. May be required to pay a fee to have the petting zoo at the fair. Timing of competitions for 4-H to have them more on Friday and Saturday rather than earlier in the week. #1 reason given for families to come to the Fair was to see and pet the animals.
Other competitions besides Stills in Gateway. Keep small animals used in Petting Zoo at Gateway.
Memorial scholarship
Fate of the food booth -> if we are not going to operate the food booth, should we negotiate with the user of the booth to rent it. Yes, by consensus.
Key Leader -> new leader training had 20 attendees.
Dates for VP to put into calendar.
Fundraising options: Hilltop had an event that we might have as a county level.

Meeting adjourned at 8:35 pm

Respectfully submitted,
Gary Lang, Secretary
