Design Contest a Hit!

The 25th annual Design Contest was held on February 19th, at the Coyote Grange Hall. It was great success with 19 contestants, 17 girls and 2 boys. The contestants varied their skirt pattern (for girls) and Hawaiian shirt pattern (for boys) by designing their outfits with different techniques such as embroidery, pocket placement, ribbons, trims, zippers, and elastic. Members were judged on successful changes, construction, modeling, question answering, and creativity. As a community service project, contestants made Neck Coolers for "Project Hugs" to be sent to soldiers in Iraq to cool them on hot days.
