This is a brief description of some of the 4-H Projects undertaken by Evergreen 4-H
Club members:

Beef Cattle
- Adult Volunteer: Tammy Humphrey

- Brief Description: The club member will learn the parts of the
animal, what to look for in purchasing an animal, how to care for and raise
an animal for the Intermountain Fair, including showmanship techniques and
market ready traits.

Dog Care & Training
- Adult Volunteer: Suz Crane, Pinegrove 4-H
- Teen Leader: Cherry Chico
- Tools Needed:
- Brief Description: The club member will learn the parts of the
animal, hygiene of their animal, basic commands such as sit, stand, long
sit, long stand, recall and other techniques. The club member will be
encouraged to participate in small animal field day and the Intermountain
Fair.

Horses and Ponies

Cooking

- Brief Description: The club members will learn how to cook in a
group setting. The members will make various hot dishes, learn how to
do dry measurements, liquid measurements, and the importance of cleanliness.

Fly Fishing

- Brief Description: The club member will learn basic fly fishing
techniques and how to tie flies for fly fishing.

Health & Fitness

and fitness, including family outings and hiking trips.

Photography

Public Speaking
- Adult Volunteer: Denise Winn

- Brief Description: Learn how to give presentations before an
audience. The member will learn how to give prepared speeches,
impromptu speeches, illustrated talks, scientific illustrated talks,
educational displays, demonstrations and other presentations. It is
anticipated that the club member will give at least 4 presentations
throughout the year.

Computers
- Adult Volunteer: Denise Winn

- Tools Needed: A will to learn.
- Brief Description: The club member will learn how to put a
computer together, the parts of the computer, various standard programs used
today, and how to type and save a document used in template formats.
Each club member will be encouraged to type their Record Books on the
computer.
