Solano County is having a retreat!!! It is a one day mini conference and is telling youth "It's In Your Hands!". We’re focusing on service learning, communication, teamwork, and positive leadership in your community and with other youth. We will also be giving all those who attend a taste of what a full size conference is like. All the members presenting this mini conference have attended conferences at the county, section, and state levels and can share the first hand experiences they had when going to conferences; and how much fun they really had! The workshops are modeled after the ones we have attended at other conferences and focus on our theme of "It's In Your Hands!". The retreat is designed for 6th-9th graders and closes with a dance/party. It will be held on November 3, 2007 at the UCCE office (501 Texas Street, Fairfield) from 9:00 am until 8:30 pm. There will be a fee of $20 for the first family members attending and then $15 for every member after that. The fee covers the cost for a BBQ dinner and snacks. All the delegates should bring a sack lunch. Look for an application in the Solano News Notes, online at http://clubs.ca4h.org/solano/westwind, or with your club community leader and president.
