Every month Westwind members volunteer to take on added responsibilities by chairing various committees that support
fun club activities and events, club community service projects and our ongoing recycling programs.
It is because of these wonderful youth and adult leaders that Westwind is such a successful and GREAT 4-H club!!!!!!!

v Allison Francke for collecting and recycling our aluminum cans & plastic bottles for November.
v Colleen Bohannan for the OUTSTANDING JOB you did coordinating and working at the Harvest Fair Food Booth!!! We earned $260.93 that will be used to support the 2007/08 club budget. Way to go Colleen!!!!!!
v The Elder family, club officers and Leadership Project members for the ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC job you did building, reconstructing and running the Harvest Fair Frankenstein Cardboard Box Maze!! What a GREAT idea! Westwind’s maze was THE HIT of Harvest Fair 2007! Youth throughout the county will be talking about this maze for years to come!!!
v To the Elders for storing all those cardboard boxes in their home for weeks and then delivering them to Vallejo.
v To all of the club members and adults who volunteered to help at Harvest Fair this year, manning the game and food booths and helping with set-up, clean-up and ticket sales!!!! We sincerely appreciate all of your help!!!
v Toni Hobart and Melissa Francke for donating EXTRAORDINARILY DELICIOUS chili to Westwind’s Harvest Fair food booth!!
v To the Wagner, Elder, and Hobart families and Colleen Bohannan for donating your time and energy to represent 4-H to the community at The Fun Family Suisun Valley Farm Days.
v Carolyn Elder for the GREAT job you did coordinating the Newborn Baby Kits drive and to the Leadership Project members for assembling Newborn Baby Kits for donation to Alpha Pregnancy Center. You have each made a difference in a young mother’s and infant’s lives!
v Colleen Bohannan, Sarah Elder, and Kiersten Bakke for the GREAT job you did making posters for the County’s 4-H Open House. A lot of visitors looked at and read your posters, gaining a better understanding of all that 4-H offers to youth!
v Colleen Bohannan for EXTRAORDINARY job you did representing 4-H at the Open House. Many visitors were so impressed with your speaking abilities and poise at such as young age!
v Amy Bohannan, Allie Boucher and the Hobart, Crawford and Bernal families for baking cookies for the Open House! DELICIOUSLY YUMMY!!!!!!

They used the National 4-H theme of S.E.T.: Science, Engineering, and Technology, in addition to showcasing some of Westwind’s community service projects.
